This study investigates the flow past a rotating cylinder at different spin ratios using Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) models. Four different models are considered. The computations also evaluate two different mesh motion methodologies - arbitrary mesh interface (AMI) and overset. The simulation Reynolds number is 130000. The observation of a negative lift force at a spin ratio of 0.35 at Re = 130000 is the motivation to choose this test case. The K-Kl-Omega and Gamma-Re-Theta models can capture the negative lift force while the other two models fail.
